Lord Narasimha is the fifth incarnation of Lord Vishnu who incarnated as half man and half lion avatar to kill demon Hiranyakashipu. Narasimha is often depicted with three eyes, and is described in Vaishnavism to be the God of Destruction; he who destroys the entire universe at the time of the great dissolution (Mahapralaya). Hence, he is known as Kala (time) or Mahakala (great-time), or Parakala (beyond time) in his epithets. Narasimhadeva is worshipped as the protector of devotees and prayers to Him leads one to have divine intuitive powers and spiritual growth. He blesses His devotees with protection from enemies and opponents. Goddess Laxmi is the consort of Lord Vishnu. She blesses devotees with progress both in the material as well as spiritual worlds.

Worshipping Lord Narasimha and Goddess Laxmi together helps destroy all forces of darkness around the worshipper leading one to abundance and growth.
